Thanks. I tried a window and the only cold air return. The draft improved but was still blowing out while the a/c was blowing. It appears there are 2 chimneys in the basement one is sealed off near the new 90% unit. The hot water tank is sealed about 8 foot away on the other stack. The rings on top of the tank are slightly melted. And I checked through the old service metal door on the bottom of the stack. It is still blowing down. I suppose the next step is to check the roof access

@@davidbleigh4646 Ok. Now from that description it sounds like your water heater was not converted to a "B- vent liner" when the furnace was removed from the chimney. The old original chimney liner cannot draft the water heater out properly. A B- vent liner helps assist the drafting up the chimney. Look up B- vent liners. I hope this helps. I hope this helps.

The meter and everything before it is the gas companies responsibility. Everything in the house is the homeowners.

same when it starts getting cold out side it’s like it pushes the heat inside and would go from 75 to 90 when it’s 65 outside

It's common in the north. I see it in pretty much in every house

@@mikejungferman4744 Good question. Some homes built in areas with high water tables or improper elevation must have a way to control the ground water. Once the water is pumped out, it should continue into a drain tile that directs the water farther away. I have even seen them installed straight into the city street curb areas. ​@@Got2no This has city water which allows the capability of backflow pressure from the city. There are many homes built in areas of "high water table and improper elevation areas". @@chadcleaver2862 Using no electric for a sump pump is the best. And tiles existing downward is very typical on walk outs. However Elevation and location of a foundation always determine if a sump pit will be needed. Thanks for watching and for the comment.

@@inspectflixno code ever says put a perimeter drain into basement. Ever. Ever. Think stupid you would be better off not having one. Smfh. That drain was supposed to be leaving the basement and was pitched back asswards. Idiots

Who in their right mind would bring the water into the house just to pump it back out. That just makes no logical sense to me

@@jonathanlewis478 check out up codes . Com People like to build homes in locations that do not allow natural downward run off. Also in areas of high water table and improper elevation. This video was made in Michigan where we do have lots of water, muck and low level areas. Thanks for watching
